THIS SITE, PLAINLY

Privacy

This is my personal site, not a company product. Here's exactly what it collects when you visit.

Who runs this site

Me, Ethan Daley, personally — this isn't a TNAADO Inc. or TNAADO Labs property, even though I link to both. Questions about this page: contact@tnaado.ca.

What's collected

Every page load sends a small analytics record to my own server. It includes:

  • Your IP address
  • Your browser's user-agent string (browser and OS)
  • The page you're on, the referring page (if any), and any UTM campaign tags in the URL
  • An approximate location derived from your IP address — country, region, city, and a latitude/longitude — from Vercel's edge network IP-geolocation lookup. This is not your device's GPS or the browser's geolocation API; I never ask for or receive precise, device-level location. IP-based location is typically accurate to the city level at best and can be well off (VPNs, mobile carriers, corporate networks).
  • A rough device type (desktop, mobile, tablet), guessed from the user-agent string
  • How long the tab stayed visible on this page
  • A random ID generated for that single page view, used only to tie the above together

Known bots and crawlers are filtered out before anything is written, and requests are rate-limited per IP address.

Why

Basic traffic analytics — which pages get read and roughly where visitors are coming from. There's no advertising on this site and this data isn't used to build an ad profile.

Where it's stored

In a private Supabase (PostgreSQL) database dedicated to my sites. dreamdaley.ca writes to the same database, tagged separately so the two sites' records don't mix. It never leaves that database — not to Google Analytics, an ad network, a data broker, or anyone else. I'm the only person with access to it.

How long it's kept

There's no automatic deletion schedule in place today, so records are kept indefinitely unless I remove them by hand. If that changes, this page will say so.

Your options

Ad-blocker and tracker-blocking extensions won't stop this specific collection — it's a first-party request to this site's own domain, not a third-party tracker. To ask about or request deletion of your data, email contact@tnaado.ca.
